Justin Thomas lines up his putt on the 5th hole at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook

In Saturday’s PGA Tour Live coverage on ESPN+, the Speith and Thomas featured pairing provided some great #MovingDayMotivation. Both players narrowly made the cut and in true Tiger fashion played their way into contention on Saturday morning. Both players played steady golf on the front nine despite hitting a few mediocre shots at the difficult Innisbrook Copperhead course. They both stayed extremely patient, with notable confidence in their short games. After persevering and making good saves on the front nine, they hit a groove on the back nine where the birdies started pouring in. Thomas went eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie on holes 11 through 14 which catapulted him into 2nd place. Speith made the turn at -2 after scrambling quite a bit and then birdied 10, 13 and 17 for a 4-under par round moving him into the top 15.

The duo provided good entertainment and it was nice to watch the mostly uninterrupted coverage on PGA Tour Live. The #MovingDayMotivation takeaway is to take each round one shot at a time and trust your game. Patience and perseverance pay dividends.
